Overview
How Serelius Flow Video works and how to run your first project.
Serelius Flow Video turns scripts into production-ready video clips directly inside Google Flow. This guide explains the core workflow, prerequisites, and operating modes.
1. Prerequisites and Environment
Serelius Flow Video operates as a client-side web application loaded through Google Flow's Tool Creator:
- Host Environment: Runs entirely inside your browser tab within Google Flow. No custom backend server, database, or API keys outside of Flow are required.
- Credits & AI Models: Image generation, video generation, and AI script expansions consume standard Google Flow credits.
- Local Persistence: Project state is saved inside browser IndexedDB and can be exported as a standalone JSON backup file.
2. The 5-Phase Workflow
Every video project moves through five sequential phases designed to maximize control and minimize credit consumption:
| Phase | Core Objective | Key Deliverables |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Script | Segment story into 8-second scenes and validate rules | Parsed scene list, character names, dialogue, and pacing |
| 2. Style & Identity | Lock visual aesthetic and character appearance | FACT/NARRATIVE style rules, 1:1 character sheets, props/assets |
| 3. Storyboard | Generate and approve one framing-accurate keyframe per scene | Full scene storyboards serving as video initial frames |
| 4. Videos | Render individual video clips with synchronized voice and sound effects | High-definition MP4 clips with camera motion and audio |
| 5. Final Assembly | Add burnt-in subtitles, apply optical transitions, and export files | Final scene clips, subtitle files (SRT/VTT), EDL sequence, project JSON |
3. Production Modes: Review vs Automatic
You can choose between two execution approaches depending on your workflow:
- Review Mode (Default): You inspect and trigger each phase step-by-step. Character sheets and storyboard frames can be reviewed, edited, or regenerated before generating costly video clips.
- Automatic Mode: Clicking START executes characters, storyboards, videos, and assembly sequentially based on your project configuration.
